At the beginning, the Forchir’s vineyard were located in Palmanova, one of the symbols of Friuli.

From initially agricultural, the company specialized in viticulture and winemaking over time, becoming one of the first in the region to sell bottled wine.

The skills were passed down from generation to generation until until the 1980s, when Gianfranco Bianchini, a young enologist, started a collaboration that r quickly changed into friendship. In 1984, Gianfranco took the reins of the company, keeping its fundamental values and marking the beginning of its modern history.  

Curiously, the F of Forchir represent the initials of Franco, Friuli and Family, symbol of continuity with tradition. Run by Gianfranco and his daughter Giulia, the Bianchini family extended the company adopting a zero-impact enology. Today, Forchir evolves from rurality to modernity, continuing its historical tradition.

Project

The Forchir family, well-known for its wine company, started a new innovative project: the creation of Locanda Forchir.

Located in the middle of the Friulian plain, Locanda Forchir is a farmhouse of high qualitative level, that reflects the family Forchir effort in valuing the territory and its traditions. This new space not only offers a unique stay experience, but also promotes the local food and wine culture, with tastings of the fine wines produced by Forchir Vineyards and a taste proposal based on fresh, local ingredients.

Locanda Forchir represents a perfect combination of tradition and innovation, offering guests an oasis of relax and authenticity in the magnificient Friulan landscape.

With this initiative, the Forchir family continue its history, expanding the horizon of their activities and strengthening the connection with their land.
